Event
Forty-five minutes at the water's edge on what it means that the Hudson here is a tidal estuary — timed to low water so there is something to look at.
Demonstration content. This event was written for the prototype to exercise the calendar, its filters and its accessibility fields. It is not a scheduled HHFT event.
The Hudson at Beacon rises and falls twice a day, and the marsh reaches of the future trail are built in that zone. This short session is timed against NOAA's published tide predictions for station 8518934 at Beacon — the same predictions this website carries, and the same ones it stores offline so they work with no signal.
No toilets in the park; the nearest are in Cold Spring village, five minutes away. The speaker is unamplified and there is no assistive listening equipment — stand close and let us know if you need us to.
Every heading above appears on every event, including the ones where the answer is no. A missing heading is ambiguous; “ASL interpreted: No” is information.
